Routes Weekly Programs

Structured workshops where youth will have the opportunity to learn new skills. Each month the theme of the workshop will change, and youth are expected to sign up in advance. Dinner will be provided. To sign up for the next workshop phone the Centre @ 905-929-0572

Peer Tutor

Youth will have the opportunity to have help in their homework. As well periodically Youth will have the opportunity to engage with Senior Citizens to teach them some skills using technology.

Old School

Youth are invited to come to an “unplugged” night of fun filled of board games and card games and other non-electronic games. Dinner provided.


THANK GOODNESS IT’S FRIDAY! This programming is less structured, because let’s face it…its FRIDAY! A combination of healthy and less-than-healthy snacks will be provided!


LGBTQ+ Social

Youth ages 14-19 are invited to come mingle with their peers, talk about relevant issues, enjoy dinner and some laughs in a safe space. Dinner provided. Past socials have included movie nights, game nights, open mics and more! Specifics will be posted on our Monthly Program Calendar.


This is our random night! You can expect guest speakers, structured activities, special projects and other random things this night! Call ahead for specifics!'

Drop In

Anyone welcome (unless age specified) to enjoy non-structured programming

Friends & Flicks

Youth are invited to come watch a chosen movie and discuss the theme of the week. Pajamas are optional and popcorn will be provided!


Dedicated time to get your blood flowing through physical activity! The Gym will be opened for structured and non-structured recreation!


Youth Council

A youth-led initiative. Youth who are members of the Routes Youth Council discuss, organize and make decisions about what happens at their Centre.  If you are interested in becoming a member, speak to current Youth Council member, or staff!


Youth Employment Counselling

Youth have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with an employment counselor to work on your resume, cover letter writing and interview skills. Youth can also gain valuable work experience and income by registering for our matching service, which matches youth with jobs in the community that fit their interests. This is a seasonal summer program that runs from May-August.
