Noah's Routes Story

"I moved to Dundas in 2017 when I was ten years old, living in a toxic household, full of anger and with no friends. I was introduced to ROUTES where I found a pathway to friends, positive and fun activities and role models. My life now as an 18 year old in 2025, has turned around and now in 2025 I have a part time job and looking forward to a bright future." - Noah

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We acknowledge that we gather on lands that are the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe nations from the time of the creation of the "Dish With One Spoon" wampum agreement. The  name of this agreement uses the symbolism of the dish to represent the territory, and one spoon to show that the people are to share the resources of the land and only take what they need. We honour and respect the intimate relationship that the Indigenous peoples had and still have with this land.
