Todd believes that the future belongs to our youth. That's why he has devoted his career to the education, health and wellness of our city's young people. As a trustee and past Chairperson of the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, Todd has developed a reputation for his big-picture thinking, community collaboration and leadership on strategic initiatives. Additionally, Todd has made a positive community impact through his work with several non-profit and government agencies focused on improving our social welfare. "I am honored to champion the mission, vision and values of Routes Youth Centre alongside the Routes team. Together, we believe that empowering young minds is the key to creating a better world. Through our safe and welcoming space, we work to equip youth with the tools they need on their individual and collective journeys." Outside of work, Todd cherishes time with his loving wife Bonnie and their energetic kids Lila and Xavier.
As a Child and Youth Care Practitioner, Carmyn believes strongly in taking a strengths-based and youth centered approach to her work with youth. Carmyn brings a wealth of child and youth work experience to the role and a commitment to the Routes community through her previous roles at Routes including her most recent work as Youth Resiliency Specialist. "It is so important that we advocate for our youth as they build peer relationships and find their strengths and passions during their formative years. Routes gives youth the space to feel a sense of belonging and form connections with their community, which is key in building their resiliency."
